The Shan bihari kabab masala comes in a fifty gram pack and is a mixture of herbs and spices that may be used to marinate kebab meat. Rather than having to measure out quantities for seasoning, spices and herbs to create a marinade, you can simply use the Shan bihari kabab masala and follow the instructions given on the box. The behari style of kebab is usually in the form of skewered chunks of tenderized meat that are either grilled or barbecued. However, you may also use the Shan bihari kabab masala and cook the meat in a pan according to the directions available on the box.

Ingredients
Boneless beef/chicken 1 kg (cubed)
Raw papaya paste 5-6 tbsp (with skin)
Onion medium 4 (thinly sliced)
Ginger paste 1-1/2 tbsp
Garlic paste 1-1/2 tbsp
Yogurt ½ cup (beaten)
Oil/ghee ½ cup
Shan Bihari Kabab Masala 1 packet
Method
1. Golden brown onion in hot oil/ghee then spread onion on paper. Let it cool and crush.
2. Mix oil/ghee, crushed onion, papaya paste, ginger, garlic and yogurt in shan bihari kabab masala.
3. Marinade meat with mixture for 3-4 hours.
4. Put meat on skewers and BBQ on slow heat.
5. Turn the sides frequently.
6. Serve with onion rings and tamarind dip.

Ingredients

Ginger paste 1-1/2 tbsp
Garlic paste 1-1/2 tbsp
Yogurt ½ cup (beaten)
Oil/ghee 1 cup

Method
1. Golden brown onion in hot oil/ghee then spread onion on paper.
2. Let it cool and crush.
3. Mix oil/ghee, crushed onion, papaya paste, ginger, garlic and yogurt in shan bihari kabab masala.
4. Marinade meat with mixture for 3-4 hours.
5. Add meat in a pan and cook on high flame until oil/ghee separates.
6. Heat coal on fire and place on a steal plate/dry bread piece over meat.
7. Drop 1 tbsp ghee/oil on burnt coal and cover it.
8. Take out coal after 5 minutes.
9. Mix in sliced onion, sliced green chillies and lemon juice; serve with bread.
