Cooking Instructions: Put the rice in a small pot. Rinse the rice with cold water (to get rid of the excess starch powder). Drain water. Add 3 cups of cold water or enough to cover the top of the rice by ½ inch. Cover the pot and cook the rice on medium high heat. Bring water to a boil. As soon as the water begins to boil, reduce the heat to low. Simmer for ten minutes, or until the water has evaporated and no more steam rises from the pot (do not stir the rice). Turn off the heat and allow the rice to sit covered and undisturbed for at least five minutes.
